Program research and design:
Guiding program investments
A consortium of four grantmakers - the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund, The James Irvine Foundation, The Walter S. Johnson Foundation, and The David and Lucile Packard Foundation - sought research on workforce issues facing California's after-school youth programs. Based on its research findings, Blueprint proposed an overarching framework for public and philanthropic investment to strengthen the system to recruit, train, and retain skilled and diverse staff for California's after-school programs.
